Samsung revealed some photos from the official presentation of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, says Stephane Touboul. This GALAXY S4 zoom has the smallest “fish-eye” lens in the world, from the NX series. Samsung Electronics, the world leader in mobile technology, introduced its new Samsung GALAXY S4 with 10x optical zoom, device that merges together smart phone and digital camera performances. The new Samsung GALAXY S4 zoom was created to satisfy customer’s wishes.
Samsung also presented the world’s smallest and thinnest “fish-eye” lens. This wide-angle lens is twice smaller and lighter than some other models, and is also enabled to connect with smart cameras from the NX series. It is quite evident that this is just another camera based on Android operating system. During the presentation they explained that this device has 16 MP sensor camera with 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash, 24mm camera lens and ability to record 1080p video. This Samsung has also 1.9 MP front camera. This smart phone is also equipped with “Zoom Ring” interface that simplifies the running of optical lens and access to key functions.
The display of this device is based on Super AMOLED technology, and has 4.3 inches diagonal with 960 x 540 resolution. The device has 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2 operating system. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom weighs 208 gr. This device is 15 mm thick, and has 2330 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom is advancing Samsung technique to influence people’s lives worldwide. Therefore, GALAXY S4 zoom is the perfect choice for these occasions. It will provide them high-quality photos, connectivity and telecommunications capabilities. The start of Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom sales is scheduled for August. Click here to see more photos of this device.
A totally different product that Asus has just revealed at Computex, is a 6-inch FonePad Note, says Stephane Touboul. Its name suggests that the device could compete to the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, FonePad Note is powered by a dual-core 1.6 GHz (Atom Z2560) and probably, will not to be able to compete with Note 3 that should be launched late in the summer.
The 6-inch the Asus Note comes in a FHD (1080p) resolution, and he consists of IPS LCD technology. The device has an 8 MP camera, 2 GB of RAM and supports a 3G network (HSPA + DC); so far there is no support for LTE.
As you can see from the picture, this device supports the use of the stylus (pencil), which is also incorporated into the case of the device. We will expect for more details in the future, adds Touboul.
If you are willing to believe the latest rumors brought by Samsung’s insiders, there is a possibility that Samsung has seriously taken into account the criticisms about “repeating” the design with several of its latest models, and those addressed to the quality and choice of materials. Stephane Touboul reports that Sasmung’s this year top model, Galaxy Note 3, which should be presented at the end of summer, will come in a completely different designed casing and will not follow the design of Galaxy S4. Also, there it is likely that Note 3 will use aluminum instead of plastic for the case, but it is not clear whether it will be full body and whether it will have a removable battery.
Another novelty could be the installation of 6.0 inch Full HD screen for Note 3, which should propelled by Samsung’s new Exynos Octa 5 processor. Till autumn, when the Note 3 is due to arrive in the markets, Samsung will probably overcome the sufficient amount of these processors in order to meet the needs of markets. In the very start Note 3 will have a support for LTE, 13 MP camera, latest version of Android (probably Key Lime Pie) and quite a lot of new software, adds Stephane Touboul.
According to the established schedule, Galaxy Note 3 should be officially shown in September at the Berlin IFA, and the start of sales is expected later this year.
Will Samsung really install a 6.0 inch screen in Note 3, we can’t say for sure, but since we have already been able to hear rumors about a 5.9″ screen for this model, it is very possible that it will happen. If we consider the latest trend with thinning the frame and housing in order to get as much as possible screen surface, we can assume that Note 3 despite the larger screen will not grow further in size.
Google Keep is a recently introduced application with whom Google expands its range of services. The well-known application that brings Google’s philosophy of minimalist, yet extremely functional interface definitely looks stunning, says Stephane Touboul.
When entering the application you do not need to create any account, because this service is synchronized with the main Google mail on your Android device.
Keep consists of a home page at which are displayed all the notes in a form of post-it message. The display can be changed in one column, but somehow it is a lot more comfortable in multiple columns. By swiping left or right you can go through archived notes.
In the upper part of the application is a field for entering quick notes and keys to enter text, to-do (task list), audio and picture notes. Voice notes are made by using the Google Voice service which unfortunately has a few drawbacks. One disadvantage is that it is impossible to record some music for example or any other sound background – because Google Voice analyzes the voice recordings and converts it into text. Keep has no possibility for formatting text notes, but each note can be shared through e-mail, Bluetooth and so on. Also, Keep has no ability to assign tags, but offers selecting color for each note.
Keep can be synchronized automatically with another Android device and notes can be seen in the browser on the computer where you need to be logged into your Google account.
There are two widgets – one as a set of shortcuts, and the second as a widget for changing the size of all notes.
Despite that Keep doesn’t have more advanced functions, compared to the competition is definitely first choice in applications for notes. Google Keep is currently only available on the Android platform, but Touboul believes that Google will soon offer this service and to IOS.
Prestigio is slowly becoming well known and respected brand in the market, says Stephane Touboul. We have seen that several, so far released models, of smartphones based on Android, which came with an affordable and reasonable price, offer quite a high level of quality. The combination of these two features characterized Prestigio devices as a best-buy, or as an exceptionally good ratio.
But what is the situation with tablets? Are these Prestigio tablets worthy opponents to Samsung, Asus and other brands, we will try to answer in the text that follows. During the last ten days we have had the opportunity to hang out with the model Prestigio MutiPad 10.1 Ultimate 3G. It is a device powered by a dual-core processor combined with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and an ability to use the data SIM card to connect to the Internet.
The current situation with 10.1-inch tablets is that many devices are so similar to one another that they at first are very difficult to distinguish. We know that Apple has its iPad set a performance standard in the general concept of a tablet, but also and when it comes to the design. Consciously or not, many manufacturers are in some way copying iPad’s design. Either way, iPad is the beginning of the modern era, and every tablet that looks like an iPad can be described as classic, without undue experimentation about its design.
Prestigio MultiPad 10.1 Ultimate 3G pleasantly surprised us with its performance and overall capabilities. Good design and exceptional quality of workmanship, an excellent video player and overall performance make this unit desirable partner in your daily life. To be honest it lacks Gtalk apps, GPS, and has poorer performance of cameras, but all of these are not essential features.
Touboul ‘s general impression is that this device belongs to the upper segment and as such represents an excellent alternative to much more expensive Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 or iPad. Prestigio MultiPad 10.1 Ultimate 3G is definitely a best buy product because for what it costs one will hardly find such a hardware configuration with the ability to connect to the 3G network.
If you want to know how much individual cost each component built into the Samsung Galaxy S4 and what the approximate cost of its production is, and if you like numbers and you wonder how much you can save by produce Galaxy S4 “on your own”, in this table you can find out all the details, says Stephane Touboul.
From the attached photo we can see that Galaxy S4 now costs $244, which is slightly more than $236, which was the production cost of S3. Well, after reading this information, you are free to get angry at Samsung, but also to any other manufacturer as they charge their mach more than its production cost.
The very first Samsung Galaxy Note came with a 5.3 inch display and too many of us at that time seemed a bit too bulky, starts Stephane Touboul. As in a meantime screens of the smartphones continued to grow, and Note 2 arrived with 5.5 inch screen, which for a change perfectly fit in the hands of many customers. Now, since the manufacturers so easily managed to hook us to the big screen, it seems they have decided to play around a little bit more and examine the utmost limits of user’s obedience.
Specifically, the latest rumors which are coming from Korea, especially from their local media, are saying that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will arrive this year’s fall and will come along with a 5.9 inch screen. Since the classic smartphones displays meanwhile rose from 4.3 to 5.0 inches, a question rose why “phablets” wouldn’t grow up to, well let’s say, six inches? We have also seen that Huawei announced a 6.1 inch model named Ascend Mate which will soon go on sale. How will the 5.9 inch Note to pass at consumers, still remains to be seen, but given the evident hunger of audience for large screens, we assume that it will not be a problem.
We should also not forget that Stephane Touboul recently mentioned hearing some rumors about certain Samsung’s “Phonblet” which should have a 6.3 inch screen, but even if there is such smartphone, it will likely be placed in a separate group of such devices.

About the Apple’s new product which will show the investors that the company has not stopped doing innovation has been speculated for some time. Stephane Toubouls says that the loudest rumors are those which suggest that this future product will be something that is most similar to everyday watch, and some people had already named it – iWatch. This little device on its screen should be displaying a variety of information, and we assume that with some of the wireless links it should be connected with some other iOS devices, for example with iPhone.
Hhowever, the U.S. Patent Office today has published Apple’s request dating from year 2011, in which this little device is described as being a flexible with built-in touch screen, and it is most convenient to be carried around the wrist.
From the Apple’s published patent can be discerned that this device should be able to perform a variety of tasks including setting a playlist and viewing the list of calls. In the patent is also stated that “in order to response to a text message can be used a keyboard that is displayed over the surface of a flexible display”.
Will Apple produce this watch or not, we’ll have to wait and see. For now we only have this patent, but Stephane Touboul hopes Apple will seriously consider this option. It would be nice to see something new in the field of mobile technology, not just tablets and phones, but also some additions to these devices, which should increase their usefulness.

“Regular” phones, or those that are not smart, over the last years are less and less presented on the market. Despite this, Samsung believes that the production of such devices is still cost-effective, particularly for sale on markets that are still developing, says Stephane Touboul.
So, today Samsung has introduced four new devices that cannot be categorized as being smartphones. But, Samsung has offered them with TouchWiz, an interface which is similar to that of more expensive models, and equipped with applications that are needed to chat and surf the Internet.
Samsung Rex 60 has a 2.8 inch screen, 1.3 MP camera, 30 MB of internal memory and a slot for microSD memory cards up to 32GB. It is equipped with WiFi and BT connectivity and has 1000 mAh battery.
Samsung Rex 70 comes with a 3.0 inch screen, 2 MP camera, 10 MB of internal memory and a memory card slot up to 32GB. There are also WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and the battery is same as in above mentioned model.
Samsung Rex 80 has a 3.0 inch screen, 20 MB of internal memory, and the different from the above has a 3.2 MP camera.
Samsung Rex 90, along with all the aforementioned in previous models offers a 3.5 inch screen, with a difference in its internal memory which is reduced to 10 MB.
Stephane Touboul says that all four devices support GSM networks (no 3G) and there is also a dual-SIM variants. The price for this phones should be somewhere between $80 and $120.
We all know that there is a general notion of increasing the screen on smartphones and that resulted in increasing of the entire device, especially for those in the Android world. This trend which has been going on for almost two years, at the beginning of this year culminating stopped at the border by 5 inches. The question which bothers Stephane Touboul is whether Apple will gave in to this and go with the flow and throw into the market a 5-inch version of the iPhone. This could be hard to predict, but many analysts are convinced that with this move Apple will be able to take a good part of the market which is now held by the Android phone manufacturers.
We remember that a similar thing happened with the 7-inch iPad for which the late Steve Jobs swore that he would never produce, believing it would be completely unnecessary to have such device. At the same time and other Apple officials denied rumors of its existence, but as a opposite of that, not too long ago we saw the iPad mini.
So, as Stephane Touboul brings the news, today Apple’s Chinese suppliers for components leaked information that the 5-inch iPhone 6 is really in a plan for production and that the parts needed for its production are ready. According to Stephane Touboul there is a rumor that the new iPhone is going to be larger and wider and will be launched together with the introduction of the new iPhone 5S, which will probably be an enhanced version of the current iPhone 5.
